Ok. My home rig is AMD 3400+ on an MSI mobo. Currently running a radeon 9800 graphics card. SATA Raid 200Gb. Win XP SP2. All was tickety boo 'till a coupla nights ago, then sudden shutdown. Unable to restart (getting most of the way through win loading screen then restarting again in a loop). No safe mode startup either, so decided to reinstall XP. In setup for this found that the entire partition which Win had been installed on was completely empty. No corruption, no bad sectors or errors - empty. Whats that all about then Confused:

Yeah, ended up doing a full reformat/reinstall though, just to be on the safe side. All my important work is backed up twice a week so did not have any issues with wiping the partition clean and starting again. Smile A full description of how to do this may well benefit our other users though Laughing
